IPL Hair Removal

IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. At Imagen Art, we use E-Light, the most advanced, effective, and long-lasting permanent hair removal system by Intense Pulsed Lighting.

E-Light is the most advanced hair removal system, it can be used for any area of the body or face, wherever you want to obtain a smooth skin with a youthful appearance and free of hair.

IPL combines three technologies:

Procedure

The IPL System uses the hair as a heat conductor to reach the hair bulb and remove it.

Radiofrequency (RF) generates an electromagnetic field that produces a cellular movement that, by friction, raises the temperature of the deepest areas of the skin where IPL energy does not reach. RF is also important for skin rejuvenation due to the stimulation of fibroblasts and the restructuring of collagen molecules.

Skin Contact Cooling is a system that, when applied, generates cold and avoids the excessive sensation of heat on the skin, and therefore, guarantees the patient greater comfort during their hair removal session, also minimizing the risk of causing burns on the skin.

Before each session, the patient must attend without makeup, creams or deodorant and having shaved at least 2 days before the session; Also,  for 2 or 3 weeks before the session, the areas to be treated should not have been shaved with wax, tweezers or a machine (Epilady or similar); Similarly, not having sunbathed the previous week without protection. It is recommended the daily use of sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) after the session.

The total number of sessions depends on certain factors, such as:

  • Hair color.
  • Skin color.
  • Discipline to keep scheduled appointments every 3 or 4 weeks.
